Karah Rigsby Blogging Questions

  1. What are your thoughts about blogs?
    1. Personally, I used to hate blogs! It wasn't until I was forced to make one my senior year of high school that I started to like them. Now realizing more what blogs are, I love blogs! They are I love reading them and enjoy to hear other peoples' perspectives on similar topics.
  2. Why should you learn to "blog" as a future teacher?
    1. As a future teacher, I think it is important to learn how to blog or how to use a blog in your classroom because blogs are a great tool for students too. When a student uses a blog, it can help them master content and improve their writing skills and educate their fellow students on a particular topic! Teachers will mainly use blogs to keep students and parents up to date on class events, due dates and so much more!
  3. Locate two examples of blogs that are used for education by teachers, students, schools or other entities. Post links to those blogs here
    1.  https://www.edutopia.org/
    2.  https://www.americanboard.org/blog/the-best-blogs-written-by-teachers-for-teachers/
  4. Why did you like or dislike these examples?
    1. For this first example, I personally love this blog website!! It is an Educational Foundation and has almost any topic that you could think of!
    2. The second blog is actually a blog about blogs (for teachers of course!). I found this and fell in love with it! Within this blog page you will find various topics/blogs about various things! While it sounds complicated, it is definitely easier to navigate through when you click the link so try it out and look at blogs around the grade level you want to teach!
